1. Equality's invention was rejected because he broke several laws to get where he is now, came to the coucil even though he wasn't supposed to, he worked on this only, and it would take to long for it to become useable by the time it got passed by the World Council. That's my 4 reasons why the Council rejected the light box.
ReplyDelete2. In my opinion, I think the council was affraid of changing what they have known for years and affraid of evolving and growing more and more knowledge. Plus, they were probably affraid of Equality taking over the Council and "messing up" their plans and the traditional system.
I agree with number two because the society is based on rules and structure, and allowing Equality to get away with that would make them look weak.

Delete1. Whenever the council found out that Equality was just a street sweeper they became furious. They told him it was a sin for him to think above his brothers. The said he should be burned at the stake or lashed.

Delete2. They were afraid that he would become a higher power in the world and take matters into his own hands. This of course is illegal, but they thought he might. They didn not want him to think greater than his brothers and that is where this was heading.

1. They had never seen something such as light in a box coming from wires, so they wew scared. Pluse he broke a lot of law to show them the box.
