  1. 1. Equality's invention was rejected because he broke several laws to get where he is now, came to the coucil even though he wasn't supposed to, he worked on this only, and it would take to long for it to become useable by the time it got passed by the World Council. That's my 4 reasons why the Council rejected the light box.

    2. In my opinion, I think the council was affraid of changing what they have known for years and affraid of evolving and growing more and more knowledge. Plus, they were probably affraid of Equality taking over the Council and "messing up" their plans and the traditional system.

    1. I agree with number two because the society is based on rules and structure, and allowing Equality to get away with that would make them look weak.

  2. 1. Whenever the council found out that Equality was just a street sweeper they became furious. They told him it was a sin for him to think above his brothers. The said he should be burned at the stake or lashed.

  3. 1- Because they were scared, and made fools of themselves. So they turned him down. Plus he broke alot of laws and they didnt like that.
2- because it would ruin their plan.

  4. 2. They were afraid that he would become a higher power in the world and take matters into his own hands. This of course is illegal, but they thought he might. They didn not want him to think greater than his brothers and that is where this was heading.

  6. 1 - Equality broke a few rules in the process of finding and fixing the light.

2 - Because it would take years to get approved by the council, and candles were just approved.

  10. 1. His invention broke several laws, that is why the council did not allow his invention.

2.Another reason is that they were scared that they wouldn't be able to use it soon enough.
